:: Practical info FIA European Drag Racing Championship 2015

It is every drivers responsibility to seek information and to comply with the FIA Regulations when participating in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. On this page You will find some useful information and links to further pages under the www.fia.com website. FIA is the sanctioning body for the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. Speedgroup is assigned as administrator for the championship.

FIA CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 - REGISTRATION

Applicable for drivers in the following car categories:

FIA Top Fuel Dragster (TF)
FIA Top Methanol Funny Car (TMFC)
FIA Top Methanol Dragster (TMD)
FIA Pro Stock Car (PRO)
FIA Pro Modified (PM)

To be eligible for any awards in the FIA European Drag Racing Championships (series or event) a FIA European Drag Racing Championship series registration fee has to be paid each year by each driver in each class to the Championship administration at the latest 30 days before taking part in any Championship round. This single fee is in the sum of €800 plus value added tax (VAT) if applicable*- see below what applies. The amount covers all rounds of the Championship (there are no options currently to pay for registration for part of the championship events). The FIA European registration fee is in addition to all normal race entry fees.

* Specification of registration fees:
FIA - Swedish VAT registered company - 1000€
FIA - VAT registered company within the EU -  800€
FIA - Company outside the EU - 800€
FIA - Private person incl 200VAT - 1000€


Registration for the FIA European Drag Racing Championship is administered by Speedgroup. Since 2012 it is handled via an online system located at www.dragracing.eu  After registering your drivers profile and logged in, you will find the FIA registration listed under "notification". REGISTRATION FOR 2015 OPENS ON FEBRUARY 1st.

Payment is handled through the system with the options VISA/Mastercard/Invoice (=bank transfer).
Drivers within Sweden can pay via online bank through the bank systems of SEB, Handelsbanken and Nordea.

Please note that non-registered championship drivers are not eligible for payout of any event prize funds nor travel funds at an FIA European Drag Racing Championship event.

EVENT ENTRY FEE FIA CATEGORIES
The Event Entry Fee for the FIA categories is set to €260/event. 
It is paid to each organizer. Entry procedure currently differ between organizers. Speedgroup is happy to provide information. Electricity is not included in the entry fee. Ticket allocation for each entry in the FIA categories is set to 10

FIA COMPETITION LICENSE
Drivers must hold a FIA International Competition license valid for drag racing and specifically for the category of vehicle to be driven. It is applied for via the National ASN ( ie. MSA in the UK, SBF in Sweden)

ANTI-DOPING INFORMATION GUIDE 
Each driver is personally responsible for keeping updated and complying with the anti-doping regulations at all times.
If you are a driver or rider active in the FIA championship or just interested to learn more, please take a moment to study the information provided at the FIA website to make sure You are not using any substances that are prohibited or need to be notified to FIA by the use of a Therapheutic Use Exemption Application Form (referred to as TUE).

NAME & NATIONALITY DISPLAY ON VEHICLE
Each driver should display his/her name together with a decal of his national flag on each side of the drivers’ compartment on his racing vehicle (example shown below)




FIA LOGO DISPLAY ON DRIVERS SUIT
Each driver must display the FIA European Drag Racing Championship logotype in chest height on the right hand front side of his driver’s suit. Minimum size 80 x 80 millimeter



All registered FIA Drivers is provided an embroidered FIA-logo patch free of charge by Speedgroup

FIA LOGO FOR EMBROIDERY DIRECT ON THE DRIVERS SUIT
If You wish to embroid the FIA logo onto your drivers suit, Speedgroup can provide an embroidery file free of charge (normally cost around €80-100 to produce one). The file can be used direct in most type of embroidery machines - the file provided is Tajima format . DST. Just fill in the easy form below to request the file!

Do You wish to have assistance in embroiding the logo on your drivers suit? And perhaps your name and nation flag too? Speedgroup have suppliers that can provide the embroidery service (one based in Sweden and one in the UK) – please ask for a quote and assistance if interested! 




FIA LOGO DISPLAY ON VEHICLE
Each driver must display the FIA European Drag Racing Championship logotype each side of his racing vehicle.
Minimum size 120 x 120 millimeter

Placement:
- for Dragsters on the outside bottom rear corner of the rear wings spill plates
- for Funny Cars on the outside upper rear corner of the rear wings spill plates
- for Pro Stock and Pro Modified Cars on the rear quarter panel.

All registered FIA Drivers is provided FIA-stickers for the race cars (measurements as per above) free of charge by Speedgroup.

FIA COMPETITION NUMBERS
Each driver must have a current FIA European Drag Racing Championship competition number and each car must carry its FIA competition number (example of a FIA start number below here for Pro Modified)

To indicate which class an FIA race car belongs to the competition number is accompanied by an abbreviation code for the class (see top of this page after the class name)



FIA Drag Racing competition numbers should be applied for 30 days before taking part at any event.
The Svenska Bilsportförbundet (Swedish Autosports Federation) is handling the competition numbers for the FIA European Drag Racing Championship (independent of which nationality you are).

HOW TO REQUEST AN FIA COMPETITION NUMBER
Email to SBF competition number administrator Lena.Olme@SBF.se or call tel: +46 (0)8-626 33 00 and ask for Ms Lena Olme. Your name, class and nationality is needed for the competition number registration. Normally You may have wishes for a specific competition number, provided it is not already taken.

TOP 10 CONTESTANT COMPETITION NUMBERS
Please note, In the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, a driver may (shall) use a number from 1-10 corresponding to his/her finishing position in the same Championship the previous year (no application is used for this procedure, the championship points lists are the base for top 10 competition numbers).
